Siemens Gas Turbine Major Overhaul

I am so fortunate to join the Siemens Gas Turbine v94.2 Major Overhaul in YTL Power Services just after 5 months joining the company. I must admit it is quite tired in the overhaul duration, but it is also very interesting as I see something real, not only paper drawing or plainly photos.

In YTL Power Services Pasir Gudang, 2 units / blocks of Siemens V94.2 gas turbines, single shaft, single casing and heavy duty design were installed. The V94.2 gas turbines are driving air cooled generators which have a rated ISO-power of 150 MW.

The 25 days duration of gas turbine unit 11 major overhaul start since 15 July t0 8 Aug 2009. Here I will posts some of the interesting photos up!

The whole rotor was in up-ending position to remove every stages of rotor blades
